Peace on Earth

Thank you all for a great Christmas Brunch. I hope it was a morning filled with conversation, good food, encouragement, and fun. From all of Steering we wish you a,
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

Thank you for bringing items for the silent auction and for bidding! We were able to raise $637, wow. When we think of the caregivers loving on our kids for two and a half hours we are just so grateful. Thank you for helping us thank them by being able to take them out to dinner.

Don't forget at the January 6th meeting you can wear your pajamas and come and enjoy a morning of renewing, education, and creating. "Beam Me Up, Scotty!" No makeup needed! Kiddos need to wear their regular clothes, no PJs. Remember, keep it "G" rated. We are looking for flannel, warm, and fuzzy!

Reminder, check out your handbook (folder) for our Weather Cancellation Policy.

Feel free to leave a comment and share a favorite Christmas tradition or recipe, or maybe how you are trying to have a more "peaceful" December, or even how your advent readings are going.

See you in 2010!

  1. My boys LOVE the advent readings! I think it helps that I bribe them with chocolate to sit still while I read. Merry CHRISTmas to all! See you in 2010.

  2. My girls are older so no bribing. They are the ones to remind me on nights I forget. Life is crazy so we burn the candles at night during dinner or right before bed. I copied the days and the scripture and give them to them to read during the day, then we talk about it during our drive home or right before bed, when ever we can find the time.

  3. Addison's favorite part is the candle! She loves getting to blow it out. She said, "it is like my birthday, every day!" Dexter likes eating the green pamphlet.

We burn the candle before bedtime while reading and often we don't make it to the next dot before bed. So last night after Addison went to bed, I relit the candle to catch up. Ooops. Addison said this morning, "Who cut our candle in half?" We were a little further behind than I thought:) Merry Christmas!
